AirNZ is migrating applications from its old servers to a new farm of servers. These servers must be as resilient, secure and hack-proof as possible because they will be communicating directly with applications running on airplane systems. Services running on Windows Server 2012 were migrated into a newer version across every country where Fisher & Paykel has sites. Every single role of the abovementioned was migrated without impacting negatively the operations and current workloads globally. Despite the fact I was not the engineer moving Microsoft Exchange to Microsoft 365, we worked closely to ensure that Azure Active Directory was correctly synchronized and did not have issues when the Exchange Server was cut over or when domain controllers were demoted. It was my responsibility to ensure everything was planned following project management principles to ensure every stakeholder was aware of every step, every change and every roadblock.
