Network Operations Coordinator
Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties: Operations Coordination of day to day running of Ankara based operations (admin, IT and similar) in order to provide a safe and efficient working environment in line with British Council’s and local H&S regulations. Introduction and implementation of corporate initiatives; e.g. Smart Working, in Ankara. Coordination of security and risks for Ankara based operations and supporting the management of the Business Continuity Plan for Turkey. Providing proactive support for event owners, meeting participants and visitors; logistical arrangements including but not limited to venue, travel and accommodation in line with event management standards and on-site administrative and logistical support during events. Providing a managed overseas experience for UK-appointed expatriate staff by coordinating relocation services including but not limited to visa/work permit procedures, flat hunting, refurbishment and maintenance, legal issues such as leases and utilities, liaison with schools and other services for dependents. Business partnering and admin support to directorate Acting as first point of contact and a business partner for teams, acting on information received and, where appropriate, adapting services accordingly in agreement with the line manager. Providing administrative and secretariat services to Turkey Directorate and act as focal point for external communications of Ankara based operations where necessary. Coordination of corporate policies for Turkey operations Information Management Focal Point: Acting as focal point for the coordination of Data Protection policies and practices across the Turkey operations reporting to Head of Network Operations. Child Protection Focal Point: To implement and maintain the Child Protection Policy in Turkey. EFT Focal Point for Turkey: Ensure implementation of the EFT for Turkey operations, assisting self-assessment of country performance, implementation of action plans and preparation of annual report on environmental performance with country EFT coordinator against the levels set within the EFT standards. To cooperate with the objective of ensuring that Equality Diversity and Inclusion policies and practices are reflected in British Council work and services Performance and financial management Line management of administration support staff, including personal development, in line with the British Council's performance management standards. Coordination of planning and reporting of enabling and Ankara overheads budget. Operating office petty cash float and other Finance and Business System (SAP) related transactions.
