I took part in the creation of the company warehousing from the very beginning, made the design of the warehouse facilities in West Qurna-2, composed the warehouse procedures, employed new employees and assigned their duties, took part in the evaluation of the bids submitted by the construction and transportation contractors, controlled their activities, took part in the implementation of WMS and bar coding. After the first 2 years the warehouse in West Qurna-2 became the biggest in the Company with the dimensions of 45000 m2 and stock value over 100 million USD (more than 13000 line items). The main objective of the warehousing is to provide the conformity between the accounting and physical stock. Our main efforts were aimed at this goal. By the results of the annual inventory count in 2015 the variance between the physical stock and accounting data maintained in SAP was only 0,0013%. That was a very good result which showed the efficiency of the warehousing system and was noted by the auditors. The result was achieved in spite of extreme weather conditions and yet not experienced newly hired local personnel. I supervised the warehouse personnel which included the goods receipt, goods issue and inventory teams (19 employees), as well as five forklifts and one 100-ton crane. I also took care of periodical reporting and safety policy control. If needed, I made OS&D (overage, shortage and damage) reports and made a claim on the suppliers through the procurement department. The storage of damaged and wrong materials until the collection by the suppliers was also the warehouse responsibility. During the first period I made all the SAP transactions myself. Later when the amount of transaction became very big I transferred that duty to local employees.

During my work I fulfilled the following duties: 1. Goods receipt: checking newly received materials, marking and putting them into proper storage bins, making entries in SAP 2. Goods issues and making entries in SAP 3. Annual inventory count. 4. Control of the material stocks and timely ordering them from the suppliers. 5. Negotiations with the suppliers from Russia, Japan, USA, Netherlands and Great Britain, sending requisitions to them, receipt of commercial offers, selection of the best supplier. Delivery schedule control, and finding out the reasons of any delays. Making an OS&D report if the materials supplied don’t comply with the order. 6. Materials Master data maintenance, creation of new materials in SAP, control of MRP settings. 7. Hiring and training of new employees. 8. KPI reporting. During my work in ZAO MARS I implemented the system of automatic reordering of materials based on MRP settings. That allowed to reorder spare parts in due time and avoid any unplanned stoppages of production. I also participated in project “No Order – No Payment” based on SAP. Due to that the procurement system was normalized brought in compliance with the company requirements and became more friendly to the user at the same time.

Till Nov.1998 I combined this job with the lecturing at the University, then it became my main occupation. During that time I was the warehouse supervisor in Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Nizhnevartovsk and Noyabrsk, as well as a procurement specialist in the Moscow office of Halliburton. In Turkmenistan and Noyabrsk I took part in the warehouse creation from the very beginning. From 1999 I was using SAP materials management system. During my employment with Halliburton I performed the following duties: 1. Goods receipt 2. Goods issue 3. Transport logistics, cooperation with shipping contractors, organization of tenders for shipping services. 4. Inventory cycle counting 5. Customs clearance (in Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan) 6. Hiring and training of new employees 7. Purchasing of materials (during my service in the Moscow office).
