Annual sales of 100 million dollars with exports of 50%. Reporting to the Country Business Manager and Finance Director Cereal Partner Worldwide in Mexico.
Led finance department including team of three business analysts for the Chile, Peru and Bolivia markets. Organized and drove financial monthly business plan and Oversaw the production of financial results accounts and statutory year end under IFRS. Drove new business initiatives finding efficiencies in cross functional teams.
Reshaped portfolio in two core brands equivalent 40% in Sales. The proposal of R&D and Factory were new sizes of 410g, 610g and 810g. Influenced Country Manager Business and R&D team to reduce in every product by 10 grammes with impact in the first year of 400,000 USD saving. The head office allocation cost from Nestlé was included some corporate services that the business partially used. Negotiated the services agreement with Nestlé to pay a fair value for the services. The benefits in two years was 500.000 USD reduction. Influenced trade spend investments of the Commercial team over two years and implemented a tool for pre- and & post- evaluation with sales team called ‘Learning Logs’, with savings of USD 400.000 in the first year. Managed project with supply chain and distribution areas to implement direct dispatch from Breakfast Cereal Factory to Chilled Dairy Factory to bring industrial sales into compliance with manual process of SAP, the benefit was saving of 80,000 USD in storage costs. Led implementation of new business model that enabled direct purchases in Factory Breakfast Cereal. Coordinated the team Supply Chain Factory, Treasury and Procurement. Deleted double rework and made savings of USD 200,000. Complex year 2013 with an unpredictable rate exchange and changes in packaging regulation in Argentina generated a gap of 800,000 USD. Proactively managed costs to take decision and close gaps with sales, marketing and factory team.
