DATABASE ADMINISTRATION • Database administration skills including: ability to perform troubleshooting, monitoring, tuning, debugging, data security and database auditing • Database Ability to work effectively with database objects, such as: tables, views, indexes, triggers, functions and stored procedures • Database Effective management of various Microsoft SQL Server versions and environments (Dev, Test, Production, MS SQL 2008, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017,2019) • Ability to plan, design and implement appropriate levels of Business continuance technologies and Disaster Recovery: (Mirroring, Replication, High Availability, Clustering, Log Shipping) • Define database backup & restore strategy • Database upgrades and database migrations • Database security and roles management • Automatic email notifications • Resource Governor and Database Policy management SQL DEVELOPMENT • Reviewing query performance and optimizing code • Writing queries used for applications (websites, desktop applications, or cloud apps) • Designing and coding database tables to store application’s data • Working with application developers to create optimized queries • Create database triggers for automation with DML statements • Creating table and view indexes to improve database performance • Programming views, stored procedures, and functions REPORTING • Data modeling to visualize database structure • Design, create and test SQL reports using SSRS or Report Builder • Creating dimension and specifically tables for reports and automatic data refreshing • Creating Dashboards for SQL Server monitoring OTHERS • DATABASES: MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL and MongoDB • DATABASE LANGUAGE: T-SQL, PL/SQL • BI AND REPORTING TOOLS: SSRS, Report Builder, Oracle Apex, Qlik Sense, Power BI • OS: Windows, Linux, Unix based systems
