•Crew Coordination: Handling direct coordination with aircrew to discuss feasibility of a flight, preferred routes, Flight schedule (Timings) and payloads in order to come up with a favorable flight consequently. I used my experience as a team leader in center to ensure smooth communication with the crew to accomplish hassle free outcome of the flight.
•Landing/OVF Permits: Sound knowledge and command over securing Landing & OVF permits of various airfields using sophisticated web based AFTN/SITA application. Being well versed with computer, I always abreast of new technologies and updates available over the web to ensure speedy yet efficient progress.
•PPRs/Slots Intra-Afghanistan: I have been handling complete coordination of PPRs approval, Slot requests, STC (Slot Time Changes), Securing Techstops and coordinating extended ground times at several airfields in Afghanistan as per standard procedures of ISAFCC (Formerly AMCC Eindhoven). Being a part of OPS Team, I have managed to resolve several crucial Slot issues during the flights and have met the target successfully. In addition, I handle Landing permits and PPRs approval for the civil aprons of major Afghan airfields as well.
• Fuel Arrangement: Coordinating fuel requirement with crew as per the finalized route and arranging it accordingly at respective airfields. Whereas, fuel economy is always considered top priority while finalizing a flight.
• Flight Briefing: Responsible of preparing complete flight brief for crew after a flight is finalized and all required Permits (OVF / LNDNG) are obtained. Updated WX and active NOTAMS are enclosed with the flight brief and crews are briefed in case of an active NOTAM related to any planned airfield.
• Flight Tracking & Coordination: Being a team member of OPS Room, my job was to follow up a flight from the beginning till end. Crews were contacted using sophisticated satellite phone and Blackberry to Skyweb Text messaging system. Flight MVTs were published with due diligence to relevant customers using Web Based Flight tracking system (Skytrac). All delays / Slot changes – or extended ground times at any military or civil airfields were timely coordinated with airfield management or ISAFCC (AMCC). Weather conditions at next and current destinations were vigilantly monitored during a flight.
• Scrutinizing Post Flight Documents: Upon successful completion of a flight, all relevant post flight documents are received from aircrews and compiled electronically. My job was to timely collect all post flight documents and dispatch them to the respective customers promptly.
