As a third party inspector i am responsible for all inspection recommended by ITP, . Review all project specification and relevant standard (ASME B31.3, AWSD1.1, ASME SEC V, ASME SEC2 and BPV code). Incoming material inspection in accordance with project specification and verify relevant document. Spool identification and inside outside cleanness of spools. Fit up inspection including dimensional, root gap, included angle, alignment, coordinates and elevation. Ensure welding equipment and inspection equipment are calibrated (welding machine, portable oven baking oven, pressure gauge torque wrench, etc.….). Ensure the storage and maintenance of welding consumables To ensure welding is done by qualified WPS and welding parameter control monitoring (pre heat, inter pass temperature and purge gas monitoring). To conduct WQT according to WPS and project specifications. To carry out external weld visual and root weld visual inspection (if applicable). Witnessing PMI inspection. Review all NDT procedure (RT, UT, PT and MPT) and witness all PQT of NDT. Radiographic film interpretation according to BPV code and ASME B31.3 (table-341.3.2). Review the PWHT procedure, calculation of sock temperature and time, heating and cooling rate from graph. Commencement of repair weld, mark the defective area, check defective area by MPT or PT after removal of defect. Review the weld repair tracking register. Verify flange condition alignment and over all cleanness. Correctness of valve, gasket, fasteners and lubrication. Verify valve position and direction before welding and bolt tensioning. Review the test package (hydro test, pneumatic test visual test), documents and attachments sending approval from client. Line check as per P&ID, ISO metric drawing, check the flow direction and direction of valve, equipment etc. Prepare and closing the punch list (A&B). Witness the bolt torqueing in accordance with ASME pcc-1 Ensure the isolation of equipment, control valve, instruments, bellows etc. Before test, correctness of testing arrangements. Ensure the draining and drying (if hydro). Witness boxing up including reinstallation of flappers of check valve control valve etc. Produce the NCR to contractor if work is not meet the project specification and standards. Strong knowledge in structural steel fabrication drawing, erection drawing, and bolt torqueing of structural steel component. Prepare own section of reports on the basis of daily weekly and monthly.
