• Validate system specifications for unmanned air-vehicle's avionics and ground control station's (three) workstations. • Design and verify the control and communication architectures of the fly-by-wire, payload and flight management systems, and of the ground command and control system. • Develop the architecture and algorithms for the vehicle's flight managements system. Project: An-124 Cargo Airplane Retrofit Program (new product code “An-124-115”) • Initiated and planned the Feasibility Study phase. Analysed and evaluated the needs, expectations and key operational and architectural requirements, as well as the crucial limits and restrictions. • Defined the alternative concepts and architectures which could be implemented on-board the airplane, documented the operational concept and evaluation summaries. • Conducted technical benchmark analysis and evaluation, including the candidate architectures’ safety and operational efficiency, operational and business models. • Prepared the aircraft modification scenarios, the affordability and feasibility assessment of the program. • Planned and controlled the engineering and certification activities of the Avionics Department. Supported the program director and managers in planning and controlling, monitored and communicated project status, engineering issues and significant developments as appropriate. • Prepared and negotiated the certification application and specifications as per European Aviation Safety Agency Certification Specifications for Large Aeroplanes CS-25 and FAA Federal Aviation Regulations, Part 25 (CS/FAR 25). Acted as the liaison between the national aviation authorities and the program management. • Developed and conducted the validation of the architecture and specifications for the on-board An-124 Video Surveillance System.

PROJECTS: Development and qualification of aircraft full flight simulators for Cessna 172S (Skyhawk), Mi-17 and Mi-24 • Specified and validated the design requirements for the cockpits. • Developed the operational scenarios, operational concept and system requirements for the systems and flight simulation models, and for the instructor operating stations. • Liaison with customers, the aircraft and engine developers, and the Russian aviation authorities to enable validation of the data packages and qualification of the simulator. • Prepared and conducted flight tests (test plans, organized testing team and facilities) to gain the data and form the data packages. Coordinated software developers, both internal and outsource. Formed and updated data packages comprising the aircraft data used to design, test, and validate the simulators. • Organized and supported the product delivery, installation and qualification. PROJECT: New Civil Lightweight Helicopter (M.A.K. - Abu-Dhabi TAWAZUN) • Formally initiated, negotiated, and finally convinced the investors to sign the agreement to conduct a $1 M Russia-UAE joint venture (research and preliminary design project). The project had the objective to determine and demonstrate the feasibility of the New Commercial Lightweight Helicopter, as well as its affordability. • Prepared, documented and conducted the project organization chart and the establishment of the Joint Committee. • Planned and monitored the project performance. Project Performance Reports based on the Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology. Project configuration management (Windchill and MCM). • RFPs, Subcontracts, Statement of work for the third-party providers. Negations, meetings, sessions. The sub-projects included market investigation, wind-tunnel tests, and production capacity inspections. • Conducted the evaluations and reviews of the alternative helicopter concepts and avionics architectures. Flight simulations and hazard analyses. • Developed the regulatory and engineering framework, which included the helicopter development and certification (FAR27) objectives, scope and budget. • Project reviews and validation of the Helicopter Development program’s baseline.
