Job Description: Risk Reporting: • Determining quarterly Cost of Guarantee reserve using stochastic simulations on risk neutral basis • Estimating the Cost of Guarantee reserve under various market stress scenarios to asses Resilience Capital. • Estimating market value of assets under stress scenarios to measure the impact on statutory solvency and from shareholder's perspective. • Calculating Annual Bonus Interest Credit for linked guaranteed products. Asset and Liability Management Reporting: • Duration monitoring • Liquidity Monitoring • Cash flow Matching Projects: • Asset yield assessment using maturity segmentation • Strategic Asset Allocation for Unit Linked Products with Capital Guarantee • Modeling of Products with Guarantees to estimate Cost of Guarantee Reserve • ALM modeling for duration monitoring Experience Analysis: • Calculating A/E ratio for health business. • Calculating Partial Withdrawal Rates.

Job Description: Surrender Value Review: • To review the impact of change in bonus rates and/or investment return to ensure that we treat customers fairly (when investment return moves up) and avoid antiselection (when asset return moves down). • To calculate asset share factors which acts as bridge between asset share value and surrender value. Estimated Maturity Review: • To calculate projected final (terminal) bonus which are then used in the estimated maturity statements issued to the policyholders every year and need to be submitted to the regulators. System & Quotation (Illustration) Testing: • Using the Emulation Spreadsheets as a testing tool to generate the expected results for testing the various quotes. • Understanding & implementing the product specification & technical specification for the testing purpose. • Testing the Estimated Maturity Values & Statutory Money Purchase Illustration quote values using the spreadsheet. • Investigating the reasons for discrepancies, if any and communicating with the onshore actuarial team and IT teams. • Develop spreadsheets to implement changes. • Maintain version control to demonstrate the adequacy of the controls over the updation of the spreadsheet(s) for future reference. • Maintain audit trail for each testing activity. Policy Sampling and Testing: • Sampling of policies for which quotes (for in force policies) and letters (for claims) can be requested from the third party and to ensure that figures appear on them are correct. • Testing of claim amounts calculated by the third party. Projects: • Worked on Incorrect Large Fund Rebate project under the supervision of onshore actuary. The projects involved understanding the project specification, developing the spreadsheet to use it as testing tool to sign-off values. • Worked on Loyalty Bonus project under the supervision of onshore actuary. The project involved sampling the policies covering all possible variants, understanding the product specification to calculate proportion of Loyalty Bonus payable on surrender or maturity. The calculated values are then used to calculate detriment arising due to discrepancies in the system.
