I was an editor and proofreader of a Second World War Diary published by Pen and Sword. It is available in the UK and America and has been on the Amazon best sellers list for Social History. My role was to read the proofs and drafts of the book to check it for any spelling or grammatical mistakes. I was also asked to act as a Historical Advisor to check the content. I did this by reading the drafts and noting any problems as well as looking at the material and cross-checking with other sources to be sure about the dates and have regular meetings with the main editors to advice them on how to proceed with the historical content.
