RUSEFF

The Russian Sustainable Energy Financing Facility (RUSEFF) is an innovative financial instrument, developed by the EBRD, that aims to support private industrial and commercial companies in Russia in improving their energy efficiency and in using renewable energy sources. Sustainable Energy Financing Facilities (SEFFs) provide financing for practical measures that contribute to sustainable energy supply and use. This helps businesses to reduce operational costs, providing them with a competitive advantage, especially during times of rising energy costs. The credit lines from the EBRD to local banks that participate in RUSEFF are dedicated for on-lending to industrial customers that are willing to implement energy efficiency investment opportunities.
